Assistive Tech Design Presentation

2018.2.24

This is a group exercise about designing for people with blindness or visual impairment.

Other group members: Ankita Deshpande, Vidia Anindhita.

In this exercise, we focused on three main problems:

  1. Navigating through the airport

  2. Online Shopping

  3. Cooking for the first time

We did some research on these problems, including how people with visual impairment deal with those problems and existing technologies these days to help them deal with those problems. We found that existing technologies are still lacking user experiences design and some even make the problems worse.

We also did brainstorm on those existing technologies and came out with some improvements and some new ideas. Please check the google slides for the detail:  https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1KexwaDGynGnxIv3-Q5CeF3YBnFKRn3-hCeIDpkioq5k/edit?usp=sharing
